Solution Center Director

Mission :
• Leads the development of a regional solution center based on strategy and business plan built by respective BU/Segment teams.
Includes responsibility of tender, engineering and project Mgt resources
• Manages the customer projects within the region, especially multi-BU
and complex Segment focused projects.
• Responsible for the P&L success of projects on behalf of Business Units, while improving:
* Customer satisfaction
* Profitability: project execution performance, tight cost control, cash control, change management
* Solution differentiation on target Segments
• Ensure a high level of cross team collaboration:

Sales (GOGC)/Solution-Execution Center and Application Centers

Responsibilities :
• Supervise the daily operation of the tender and execution team located in the regional solution centre
• Develop solution business for the region , adapt organization and resources linked with type of solution and be always in an “ innovative “ mindset with strict control of risk ( technical / commercial ) to deliver profitable growth
• Ensure high level of coordination with different application centre to build “ comprehensive solution “ through a system approach
• Enforce the CPP rules within solution tender and execution team, adapt process to enhance link with other entities (sales, finance, services…)
• Plan, delegate and monitor work and job progress. Organize departmental resources to ensure that all work is undertaken both effectively and efficiently,
• Structure and build team with adequate resource , ensure recruitment of “ key talent “ to accompany the strategy
• Be responsible of the reporting of all tender and execution reporting (financial, quality, customer satisfaction) and set up KPI accordingly to monitor performance, BFO to be the “monitoring “ tool.
• Undertake annual performance appraisals and necessary mid-term reviews with team members in accordance with Schneider appraisal guidelines. Set objectives that will allow achievement of the Groups objectives. Identify any training needs; assist with the development of training programs and overall development of staff according to strategy.

Requirements :
• Master (S2) or Bachelors Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering or Technology Diploma (D3) (CET preferred).
• Master in Business Administration is a definite plus.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) will be required.
• Understands and utilizes formal risk analysis tools and techniques on assigned projects.
• Experience in large O&G projects, Large size projects <5/10M€. Category A and B projects. Relative complexity with multi BU exposure. International procurement and delivery of equipment and services. Large project team and large number of suppliers and BOM quantity.
• Exposed to the entire O&G value chain (Up/Mid/Downstream), Extended exposure to at least one sub-segment (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream) of the O&G value chain through supply of equipment and services, projects and solutions. More than 5 years experience in that sub segment or those sub-segments.
• Multi-discipline projects, multi cultural environment, Multi- domain projects, electrical/automation/telecom/mechanical/civil works. Variety of geographies for third party and suppliers. Tendering / Proposal Manager

Mission :
• Manages the tendering process of large and complex solution projects that go across multiple businesses.
• Leads the “bid to buy” process of selected projects, assigns the tendering activities to the tendering engineers, monitors progress.
• Ensures that bid invest decision, risk assessment before submitting offer, commercial/technical impacts during negotiations, and close the deal are properly executed.
• Ensures Customer compliance and project profitability forecast.
• Tendering Manager is critical to the successful bidding of projects and securing profitable projects track record.
• Manages team of tendering engineers.
• Liaises with sales organization during the bidding process and rely on the technical expertise provided by the technical domain and solution experts (solution architects, solution technical leaders, specialized design engineers).

Responsibilities :
• Analyze RFQ’s and recommend quote / no quote. Iin case “quote” is decided :nominate the tendering engineer (TE) to proceed with bidding process and handle the RFQ’s
• Check, revise and validate the complete technical/commercial offer in the standard presentation format which is prepared by TE
• Utilize the corporate tools to record, receive relevant approvals and get the dashboard data needed for performance management and improvement.
Monitor and review the performance of the team through the required pre-assigned KPIs
• Insure the process capability of tendering by properly managing quotations (prices, contractual conditions and conso. gross margin).
• Develop, update and improve quotation tools in coordination with Tendering team members and IT’s Team Leader.
• Implement and manage tools and process for price calculation as per company guidelines and procedures.
• Support and supervise his team to prepare contract review and participate in Project Launch.
• Assess within the team the tools, methods and competencies and propose all necessary improvements and changes.
• Lead and Support his team to optimize the Gross Margin
• Plan, prepare and Manage monthly bidding activities review with sales, finance & top management
• Support his team to prepare all documents necessary for the follow up of projects activities (reports, planning and management of information etc.)
• Responsible for assessing the tools, methods and people competencies and propose all necessary improvements and changes
• Provide feedback to relevant departments on points of improvement and post-mortem analysis

Sr. Tendering Engineer

Mission :
• Works in the tendering team and reports to the Tendering Manager.
• In charge of the tendering process of medium size solution projects that can involve multiple businesses.
• Leads the “bid to buy” process of selected projects, assigns the tendering activities to the tendering engineers, monitors progress.
• Ensures that bid invest decision, risk assessment before submitting offer, commercial/technical impacts during negotiations, and close the deal are properly executed.

Program Manager

Mission :
• Manages large and complex multi-Business solution projects with high added-value. Leads a team of project managers in a complex environment (multicultural/multi organizational).
• She/he leads projects, monitors progress, assesses & manages the risks in order to meet customer satisfaction and project profitability.
• The Program Manager Contributes strongly to the project managers community.

Responsibilities :
• Manage and execute the project in accordance with the principles contained within Project Management Body Of Knowledge (PMBOK).
• Ability to handle several projects at the same time
• Manage project budget, resource allocation and day-to-day operational aspects.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and track project deliverables using appropriate tools.

Project Manager

Mission :
• Manages execution of Category A and B projects primarily.
• For each project the PM manages the execution from the receipt of order up to the project closing including the guarantee period. He must strictly comply with the project execution process ( OFP, Order Fulfilment process).
• Assess and manage risks to meet customer satisfaction and project profitability
Contributes strongly to the PM community

Responsibilities :
• The PM built the project organization taking account all the aspects of the project Size, Customer, Scope, Contractual and legal obligations, Technical difficulties, Specific Requirements, site work activities etc …He defines the mission of each team member
• He is responsible to define the workload plan for the project, and then ask to the leaders of the project execution center (PEC) to appoint the specialists corresponding to the needs.
• During the whole project execution the PM ensures the functional management of the team, he defines the objectives dedicated to each member. The hierarchical management of the specialists appointed for the project remains the responsibility of PEC activities leaders

Project execution management :
• He is responsible of the good execution of the project, He globally guarantees the compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract
• He planes all the necessary project meetings needed to supervise and control his project
• When required he arbitrates in his field of responsibility.
• The PM must have a global overview of the project and be able to focus on any particular subject or issue in each function of the project. In case of major issue, he must raise the problem during the PSC or project follow-up (for financial issues).

Project scheduling :
The PM is responsible of project schedule construction and updating. A planer can be appointed if necessary according to the size of the project. Each team member contributes to the schedule construction and updating. All the meetings related to the project follow-up are scheduled and animated by the PM.

Invoicing and receivables :
The PM executes the project invoicing according to the contractual invoicing plan and Schneider internal rules. He is responsible for the regular invoicing plan updating. He is responsible of receivables recovery .He drives, in cooperation with Schneider dedicated organization, all the appropriate actions to recover the receivables

Customer relationship:
The PM defines the customer policy which will strictly be applied by all team members during project execution. He maintains permanently an efficient customer relationship and manages a pro-active, recurrent and positive customer communication. According to the customer policy defined for the project, he produces the customer progress report and evaluates the satisfaction level of the customer. If needed, he takes appropriate actions to improve the satisfaction of the client.

Reporting :
The PM performs the project reporting according PEC rules. These rules can be personalized to the specificity of the project, if needed. This is then taken in account and reflected in the project management plan.

Technical Leader

Mission :
Technical Leader (TL) has a deep understanding of a given solution.
During Tender phase, leads preparation of technical solution: defining and implementing the adequate technology/system to answer customer needs in terms of scope, technical performance, quality, cost and schedule.
• Validates the technical choices throughout the project and compliance of the final solution with the expected deliverables
• Directly controls the technical teams consisting of Design Engineers and engineering resources.
• Provides the necessary reporting to the PM and /or instances of the Project.
• Member of a project team led by Program/Project Manager.

Responsibilities :
Project Management :
He is responsible for
• The scheduling of the technical part of the project.
• The organization of the technical team of the project and related costs
• The monitoring of the workload and progress during execution
• The Design Review meetings and other technical reports

Technical field :
• Responsible for the technical performance of the solution and consistency with customer requirements. Integrates the solutions developed by the solution application center.
• Directly responsible for setting the general technical specifications and associated deliverables (technical architecture, useful technical description.
• Participates in the study and distribution of material scopes between Schneider and third parties.

Economic aspect and Risk Management :
• Must respect the budget that has been allocated in order to optimize technical and economic. He needs to identify potential improvement to the offer whilst looking at the best technical and cost effective solution
• Ensures that technical and quality performances are met.
• Assesses the technical risk associated with the project and provides risks mitigation scenarios.
